2000 – 2026

Our Story

Twenty-six years of knowing each other. Fourteen years of growing together.

It all began in Woodville.

2000

Woodville

This is where it starts, though neither of us knew it at the time. Woodville, around the turn of the century. Kudala. We have simply known each other for most of our lives, in the ordinary way that people from the same place do.

2012

Something changed

Twelve years of knowing each other, and then one day, we fell in love. There was no grand moment, no dramatic turning point. What had always felt like home simply became something deeper, and from that moment on, neither of us could imagine life any other way.

2026

And now, you

Fourteen years together, twenty-six since Woodville. Which brings us to one Saturday afternoon in October, everyone we love in one room, and two people making a promise in front of witnesses who will hold them to it.

Novuyo
The bride

Novuyo

There are people whose influence is loud, and then there are people like Novuyo, whose impact is found in the quiet, faithful moments. She was the grandchild who spent the most time with her late grandparents, Khulu JJ and Gogo Mabizwa, and she has taken after them gracefully. She nurtures naturally, creating a sense of warmth and belonging wherever she is. A remarkable mother. That is what those who know Novuyo are most likely to say, and it is the description she would treasure.

As the eldest of three, responsibility found her early. It shaped her into someone who listens carefully, carries much without complaint, and instinctively puts others before herself. She has never needed to be the loudest voice in the room because her character has always spoken more clearly than words.

Her kindness is intentional. Her strength is steady. She leads with compassion, loves without condition, and reminds those around her that true influence is often gentle rather than forceful.

Muzingaye
The groom

Muzingaye

If reliability could be described as a person, it would look a lot like Muzingaye. He is the kind of man whose family knows exactly where they stand: someone who is dependable, committed, and deeply invested in the people he loves.

He understands that fatherhood is not built on occasional heroic moments but on everyday faithfulness: being present, keeping his word, and creating a home where his family feel secure. Those simple choices, repeated over time, have become the foundation of the man he is.

His greatest achievements are not measured by titles or accomplishments, but by the trust he has earned and the example he continues to set. The respect people have for him begins with the way he cares for his family and extends naturally into every other area of his life.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
